Detox diet for weight loss
Not sure how detox diet will help in losing weight? Read on for some tips on weight loss using a detox diet.
Fruits: Eat a lot of fruits such as apples, bananas, pears, oranges, grapefruit, raisins, pineapple, mango, kiwi fruit, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, peaches, melons and star fruit.
You can have the fruit in any form – fresh, frozen, dried, canned, or natural fruit juice. You can have either homemade fruit juices or smoothies and remember to have sugar less juices.
Beans and lentils: Eat dried or canned beans including red, green or brown lentils. Vegetable soups are suggested.
The other items include oats, potatoes, brown rice, noodles, rice cakes, unsalted nuts, and unsalted seeds. Further, you can have natural yoghurt, garlic, ginger, fresh herbs and black pepper.
Follow this detox diet for a week. It will result in weight loss and simultaneously you will not be deprived of essential nutrients.

I can see how this would work. Fruits and vegetables give you vitamins, minerals and fiber. Beans and lentils and nuts etc., give you protein. If you look at it, it is our diet as it used to be before processed foods came along. I think processed foods are an absolute no no if you you want to be slim and healthy. You would be amazed at just how much MSG is in processed foods and don’t get me started on genetically modified organisms! I think your weight loss detox diet is actually a good way to eat for life!
