What is detox diet? Do I need it?
Toxins enter the body when we ingest or inhale them. Certain toxins such as ammonia are produced in the body during normal digestion processes. Toxins can harm body tissue. They are normally transformed to less harmful compounds and excreted via stools or urine.
Other sources of toxins include pesticides, household cleaners, food additives, drugs, pollution, cigarette smoke, and other heavy metals like lead.
Detoxification is the process of removal of potentially toxic substances from the body
